Description: In fine condition. Cordonnier was born March 28, 1878 in Orleans. This lovely impressionist scene was done on the spot during the spring or summer when the flowers in the garden behind the cathedral apse were in full bloom. Cordonnier was a student of Gerome, G. Ferrier, and Jamet. He received an honorable mention at the 1926 annual exhibition at the Societaire des Artistes Francais. He also exhibited at the Salon de la Nationale and at the Salon des Independents. He was also an etcher. With frame.
