Adam Van Doren is a prize-winning artist, author, and a teacher at Yale University, where he is also an Associate Fellow. His paintings are held by many major American museums, including the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, the Art
Institute of Chicago, and the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. His work has been exhibited at the National Portrait Gallery in Washington D.C., among other institutions. Van Doren's most recent book, An Artist in Venice, chronicles his quarter-century experience
painting Venice, and includes twenty-three reproductions of his paintings. Venice has been a source of continuing inspiration for Van Doren, and the current exhibition features a selection of his oil paintings, watercolors, and sketches of the city.
